Leading with Vision, Empowering with Heart

Introducing Our Founder

Founder Spotlight

Garyel Tubbs is a 19-year-old first-generation college student, political science major, and founder of ProjectHER Inc. A passionate advocate for education equity, she has dedicated her early career to creating opportunities for young women to lead, learn, and thrive. Her journey is shaped by lived experience, navigating systems that often overlook young Black women, and turning those challenges into fuel for change.

Through her work, Garyel has launched statewide advocacy campaigns, organized large-scale community drives, and built leadership programs that equip young women with the skills and confidence to step into positions of influence. She has mentored thousands of young girls across Florida and beyond, giving them the tools, resources, and encouragement they need to grow into leaders. Garyel created ProjectHER to close the gap in mentorship, representation, and access to resources, ensuring that the next generation of leaders has both the tools and the network to succeed.

Today, Garyel serves in multiple leadership and organizing roles, preparing for a future in law and public policy. She speaks on education, advocacy, and leadership development, inspiring young women to see themselves not just as participants in their communities but as decision-makers and change-makers. Her mission is clear: to build a lifelong sisterhood of leaders who will transform their communities and the world.
